I'm heading out tonight to meet up with some friends. Some I've known for quite some time, while others I feel like I already know even though we've never technically met.
That's because we're all bloggers. Oh, and we're all twin moms. How do you like that?
So, you what happens when you get seven bloggers together. In a bar. Blog fodder. That's the danger of friends who blog: you never know when you'll end up the topic of a post!
I'm looking forward to it. I could use a relaxing night out. Appetizers, desserts, and some sitting in the general vicinity of alcohol. Sounds perfect to me!
So a big shout-out to my fellow twin-mom bloggers, Nancy, Goddess in Progress, Mommy, Esq, Rhonda, Sotorriffic Twins, and Snickollet. Check them out if you get a chance, maybe egg them on to do something crazy for me to report back about. Though knowing myself, if someone is going to do something embarrassing, it'll probably be me.
Looking forward to seeing you all! Maybe by tomorrow I'll have the second part of the joke from the title...

Dang! That sounds like a power meetup! I would love to be a fly on the wall just to get book recommendations from you.
Oh yeah, my work laptop died last week and the only thing I had on it not backed up was my books-to-read list. ARGH! And I had just gone to a B&N to browse for hours two weeks before! I was in a panic, emailing anyone who I might have emailed the list. Help Desk called right before dinner last night and said they had managed to recover everything off my Desktop.
I was in such a rush I got on the treadmill and ran 4 miles bc I had so much extra energy.
(Are they going to black out your face from the pictures taken tonight?!)
that's so freaky.. i'm tempted to get a group of singleton mom bloggers together and hit up the bar across the street from the bar you're going to.. um.. yeah..
Given that you probably won't be drinking I don't think you will be doing anything embarrassing. I, however, will be drinking. And the kids will be asleep. Could be a bad combo. I haven't seen you since one of my first few general meetings (when I was only pregnant) so I am looking forward to catching up.
Can't WAIT!!!!!!
And Laura brings up a good point...how are we to blog about the holy embarrassing thing you did if we can't put a PICTURE (ooh - or video!) of you doing whatever it is you're doing? :D
Bloggers and booze, baby!
And I'm totally bringing my camera. Cause you know moms are wild and crazy. One or more of us might actually have *a* drink. Wowza.
I expect pictures. And tweets. And lots of embarrassing stories.
Wish I could be there! Somebody have one for me!
I'm totally looking forward to the night out, but if I have a drink, I might now be awake to drive home. :)
i can bring a camera?? sweet! can't wait to see/meet everyone
popping in from sits.....sounds like a fun night....great idea to all get together...isn't it funny how you may not have ever met some in person but you feel like you know them so well!!
