Preschool logic

Here's a conversation I just had with B-man:

B-man was talking about how reindeer fly without any wings.

Me: But that's just pretend. (Yeah, I forgot about the whole Santa thing. It's July, sue me!)

B-man, after thinking about it: Well, I just don't see any other way Santa could get presents here if his reindeer didn't fly.

He said it with such certainty, sure that Mommy must be mistaken!

Well thank goodness! Let him wait a few more years before that bubble is burst. (seriously...what do we DO to our kids!?!?!)

Awh....innocence is such a cool thing....I agree with Nancy, it will take care of itself in a few years......

Sometimes I really wonder if all the negatives of Santa, the Easter Bunny, the tooth fairy, etc. (like the fact that we're deliberately lying our asses off to innocent children) don't outweigh the good, but the alternative is to be one of those black-and-white, life-has-no-color people....

Oh bless! So darn cute. I can't wait until my girls comprehend/get excited for Santa. I want them to believe as long as possible.
